Financial Wellness

21-Day “Money Moves” Challenge

Goal: Make 21 small, empowering money moves that lead to lasting financial wellness.


Week 1: Know Your Numbers (Awareness & Clarity)

  • Day 1: Check your credit score.

  • Day 2: Write down all your monthly income sources.

  • Day 3: List every recurring bill and subscription.

  • Day 4: Track your spending for the last 7 days.

  • Day 5: Review your bank statements and identify spending patterns.

  • Day 6: List all your debts (balances, interest rates, and due dates).

  • Day 7: Reflect: What did you learn about your current financial reality?


Week 2: Make Power Moves (Action & Alignment)

  • Day 8: Cancel one unnecessary subscription or reduce a bill.

  • Day 9: Set a short-term financial goal (e.g., save $100, pay off a credit card).

  • Day 10: Automate a savings transfer (even $5/week).

  • Day 11: Create or update your monthly budget.

  • Day 12: Sell or list one item you don’t use.

  • Day 13: Choose a free financial podcast or YouTube video to learn from.

  • Day 14: Reflect: What’s one financial habit you want to break or build?


Week 3: Secure Your Future (Growth & Empowerment)

  • Day 15: Identify your financial personality (spender, saver, investor, etc.).

  • Day 16: Research one way to invest or grow your money.

  • Day 17: Create an emergency fund plan (how much you need + how you’ll start).

  • Day 18: Set up a calendar reminder for all upcoming due dates.

  • Day 19: Write a “money affirmation” you’ll say daily.

  • Day 20: Identify a financial accountability partner.

  • Day 21: Celebrate your progress and write a money goal for the next 30 days!

Physical Wellness Challenge

21-Day Step Challenge: “Step Into Wellness”

Goal:To boost physical activity, energy, and overall wellness by progressively increasing your daily step count over 21 days.


WEEK 1: Awareness & Activation

Focus: Build awareness of your baseline and create the habit.

  • Day 1 – Baseline Check:
    Take note of your current step count. No pressure—just move as you normally would and record your total.
  • Day 2 – Add 1,000 Steps:
    Take your Day 1 total and add 1,000 steps today. Consider a 10-minute walk after a meal.
  • Day 3 – 2 Walk Breaks:
    Schedule two intentional walk breaks: 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening.
  • Day 4 – Step & Stretch:
    Every hour, stand up and walk for 2-3 minutes. End your day with 5 minutes of stretching.
  • Day 5 – Walking & Water:
    For every bottle or glass of water you drink, walk for 3 minutes. Hydration + movement!
  • Day 6 – 7,000 Steps Goal:
    Challenge yourself to reach 7,000 steps today. Park farther, take stairs, or pace during phone calls.
  • Day 7 – Reflect & Celebrate:
    Take a 20-minute nature walk and reflect on how your body feels. Celebrate with a healthy treat or self-care.

WEEK 2: Elevate the Energy

Focus: Get consistent and challenge your routine.

  • Day 8 – 8,000 Steps Goal:
    Hit 8,000 steps today. Invite a friend to walk or listen to your favorite podcast while stepping.
  • Day 9 – Walk & Worship/Podcast:
    Take a 30-minute walk while listening to worship music or a wellness podcast.
  • Day 10 – Step Circuit:
    Break up your steps with 10 bodyweight squats every 1,000 steps.
  • Day 11 – 10K Day:
    Aim for 10,000 steps! Break it up in 3–4 chunks to make it doable.
  • Day 12 – Dance Breaks:
    Every 2 hours, play your favorite song and have a 3-5 minute dance break.
  • Day 13 – Morning Mile:
    Walk a mile (or 2,000 steps) first thing in the morning.
  • Day 14 – Gratitude Walk:
    Walk 15–30 minutes while reflecting on or praying about things you’re grateful for.

WEEK 3: Power Up & Finish Strong

Focus: Confidence, consistency, and community.

  • Day 15 – 11,000 Steps Challenge:
    You’ve built up to it—now see if you can hit 11,000 steps today!
  • Day 16 – Step With A Sister:
    Walk with a friend, coworker, or loved one today—make it social and fun.
  • Day 17 – Walk the Commercials:
    While watching TV, get up and walk in place or around the room during commercials or between episodes.
  • Day 18 – Power Hour:
    Schedule one hour throughout the day just for movement. Break it into four 15-minute walks or two 30-minute bursts.
  • Day 19 – Step with Scripture:
    Write down 3-5 scriptures and take a walk while meditating on them. Bonus if you journal when you’re done.
  • Day 20 – Step Check-In:
    Compare your Day 1 to today. Reflect on how far you’ve come physically and mentally.
  • Day 21 – Victory Lap + Virtual High-Five!
    Celebrate with a longer walk (30–60 mins). Share your win with your community or online using #StepIntoWellness.
